My name is Ronnie. I am a 5 year old street dog, which means I have never had an owner to care for me or a place to call home. Every day has been a fight for survival and I very nearly lost the fight when I became seriously ill.

I was picked up one day by a man called Khun Sanae, after Soi Dog received a call about my condition. Sanae is an Animal Rescue Officer with Soi Dog and he wasted no time in getting me to the shelter for treatment.

When the vets examined me, they saw I was suffering from an extremely bad case of scabies, as well as something called demodectic mange and a bacterial skin infection. I was covered in ulcerated wounds and feeling desperately unhappy.

Now that I am here at the shelter, I am receiving the medical treatment I so badly needed and the vets hope I will make a good recovery.

This is all thanks to a very special group of people. These are Soi Dog supporters, all over the world, who have joined the Emergency Response Team. Their regular donations meant I could be picked up and treated. I am so grateful to them.
