Advocating for Ocean Protection has its fair share of challenges. Because of its complex nature, high-level advocacy requires different strategies, communication styles and skills to reach out to multiple levels of stakeholders.
To learn how to effectively advocate for the establishment of a Marine Protected Area, WWF-MY staff, Robecca Jumin and Angela Lim from the Marine Programme and Sabah Parks representatives, Ludi Apin and Augustine Binson attended the ‘Establishing Advocacy Boot Camp’ hosted by WWF-Netherlands at the World Parks Congress on November 10th.
As WWF’s influence worldwide is extensive; the panda carries weight as a credible organisation, the boot camp hopes that participants will be able to carry out their conservation work with a more solution-oriented approach and with a wider outreach.
