Do you know? “Have you ever heard anyone saying I saw a Komodo dragon in the river!”

Well, on our sunny island Singapore, there are no Komodo dragons that can be found here in the wild. In fact the ones you see are the water monitor lizards, part of our precious native wildlife!

Like many of their counterparts on our island, they face threat from loss of natural habitats to being misunderstood hence seen as pest. Like most of the wildlife out there too, these lizards are shy creatures, preferring to stay a safe distance away from human traffic flow most of the time, minding their own businesses unless having been trapped in an unfavorable disposition sometimes! #ACRES #Wildlife #endanimalcruelty #letsbe
