Is The Tide Turning For Tabs?

You all know that Tabs has to endure being bullied by the Cows in Bunny’s Place. That’s the way it is, because Tabs doesn’t know how to fight back.

Cow bullies her, Bunny bullies her, Cleo steals her food all the time (unless we stop it, which we now do). Pole is neutral – she doesn’t bully anyone. She’s good.

So, poor Tabs…

But that’s just the way things are in Bunny’s Place.

However…all things are subject to change, correct?  And if you cannot change others, you change yourself, correct?

Well, something extraordinary happened last week.

Cow went mad suddenly (which is quite normal) and chased Tabs. Tabs was cornered in Cleo’s apartment (at the corner of the room) and there was nowhere for her to run as Cow was advancing towards her. This is where, if it were a movie, I might close my eyes because I cannot bear to watch what happens next…

What do you think happened?

Tabs fought back!

What???????

Yes, Tabs fought back by swiping Cow and Cow was totally taken aback.

Shocked to bits? (Who? Cow or Me? Well, both of us, I suppose. Cow must have been horrified, I guess, but I was quite pleased…isn’t it about time?)

But even before this, we’ve noticed that when Tabs was lying on her editor’s chair and Bunny tried to intimidate her, she did swipe back quite a number of times.

But this was Cow…. Even we are afraid of Cow.

So that was that.

And just now, about an hour ago, I heard hissing at the pantry, so I looked out and guess what I saw?

This…

Oh my, oh my….I cannot believe this!!!

How did Tabs get up to Pole’s penthouse AND sleep on Pole’s pillow?

I still cannot believe this…

Pole tried to get back her pillow, but she lost.

Wow, Tabs!!

Just as in human relationships, this is what happens when a person (or cat) is pushed against the wall. It’s Newton’s Third Law, isn’t it?

All is well inside the room…the only thing is, I don’t have a place to sit…

Poor Pole…she has to look for somewhere else to sleep tonight.

  She finally found this – Cleo’s apartment.

So all is well for tonight.

Phew!

The moral of the story:

1. All things are subject to change. No matter how “permanent” they seem to be.

2. Never push anyone against the wall too many times.

3. The meek shall inherit the earth.
