CAT RESCUED FROM FALSE CEILING

We received a call on Friday, 4 December 2015, informing us of a cat that was unable to get down from a high false ceiling, in the vicinity of Toa Payoh Hub.

In order to rescue the cat, our staff, Yao Huang climbed up a ladder with a catch pole while the caller stabilized the ladder. A passerby provided some cat food, to lure the cat towards the catch pole.

The cat was bought to safety in 10 minutes. As it was unhurt, it was released at the same location.

In rescue operations, our staff are often exposed to risky situations, in the course of saving an animals life. However, our dedicated officers will do their best, to bring the animal to safety.

If you come across an animal which is injured, sick or distressed, call our 24-hour emergency hotline at 2875 355 ext 9 immediately.
