I WOULDNT HAVE SURVIVED IF IT HADNT BEEN FOR PEOPLE LIKE YOU. WILL YOU PLEASE ADOPT ME?

Please email teresa@soidog.org to find out how you can give me a home.

My name is Checkers. My mum disappeared shortly after I was born. I was too weak to survive on my own. I would have surely died if a kind local person hadnt found me and brought me to Soi Dog.

When I first came to the shelter, the staff had to hand feed me every few hours because I was just a baby. Im now 6 months old and Ive become much stronger because of the support of people like you. Im ready to find my forever home.

Im an energetic and playful boy, but Im a very special little cat: I am FeLV positive, which means I carry the feline leukaemia virus. This isnt anything for you to worry about. I just need to find a home that meets my special needs. I need to be an indoor cat so I dont make other cats sick. I can live with other cats that are FeLV positive, and with cats that have been vaccinated against FeLV. Right now I live with 2 other special kittens just like me, and we get along fine. We get up to all kinds of mischief together. We love it when visitors come to see us, and we cant get enough of our cat toys!

Cats like me can live perfectly long, healthy lives. All I need is a visit to the vet every now and again to make sure everything is ok.

You can read more about the feline leukaemia virus here: https://www.aspca.org/pet-care/cat-care/common-cat-diseases

A very kind person has donated some money towards my travel costs. Can you find it in your heart to give me a safe and loving home and save me from a life in the shelter? Please email teresa@soidog.org to find out how to adopt me.
