FACT: The Malayan tiger is still �Critically Endangered�. There are only 250 – 340 wild tigers left in Peninsular Malaysia, a number that has spiraled downwards from an estimated 3,000 in the 1950s. As the world spotlights big cats for World Wildlife Day this year, we strive to continue our efforts in protecting our nation�s symbol of strength and power – the mighty Malayan tiger.

WWF-Malaysia�s tiger conservation programme started way back in 1997, and has grown leaps and bounds since then.

This month on Tuesdays and Thursdays, swing by our social pages to learn more about what happens behind the scenes – get up close and personal with our wildlife warriors who work tirelessly to protect our tigers. ??
