Over the next few months, WWF-Malaysia will be working closely with colleagues in other organisations to compile information for a Wildlife Atlas of Sabah – a resource that will show numerous different records of wildlife species in Sabah. The Wildlife Atlas will not only serve as a platform to gather and share reliable records of species’ presence, but also act as a benchmark and monitoring tool in determining the health and viability of our wildlife in given forest areas. The Atlas will incorporate a wildlife distribution maps, to which eventually it is hoped that general public can contribute sharing accurate citizen science information.
