Abigail is a survivor of the Asian dog meat trade, saved from being butchered thanks to amazing people like you. To save more dogs from torture and slaughter, please go to http://bit.ly/Save-Dogs-From-Slaughter

When Abigail arrived at our shelter, she was terrified of people. She couldn’t be touched and would bite if pushed. It took a lot of hard work, patience, and most of all, love, to get Abigail to where she is today.

Thanks to one of our amazing partner rescues, she now has a wonderful new home in the US and this is the most recent update from her new family:

“She is doing great – she is loved and cherished here. She’s best buddies with my other border collie and loves meandering around in the backyard. She is still completely terrified of being touched, which means we can’t go on walks, she doesn’t get brushed, etc. But she has made progress in her own way – she makes eye contact consistently, comes when she’s called, follows me around the house and yard, and when I talk to her she wags her tail. She mouths off to me when I tell her to come in and she wants to stay outside and play (barks and stomps her little feet) which is pretty adorable.

She has been given a new name by her family to reflect everything she has overcome. Gina Haspel – after the first woman director of the CIA.”

Well done, beautiful girl, how proud we are of you! We know that with such wonderful humans helping you, you will continue to blossom!

Please join the fight against the barbaric dog meat trade. There is no government funding in this war – there is only you. Go to http://bit.ly/Save-Dogs-From-Slaughter to start making a difference now. Thank you.
