We are saddened that 4 of the 6 blast detector units deployed around Sabah to measure fish bombing incidences were found lost, 1 was blasted and 1 was fortunately retrieved. This challenge will not deter the efforts of WWF-Malaysia’s officers working in the field. Steps have been taken to counter future sabotages, together with various government agencies and NGOs. WWF-Malaysia would also like to extend our appreciation and gratitude to the Marine Police and Oceanway for being part of the retrieval dive crew.
