WWF-Malaysia applauds the Kedah state government, Kedah Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir for their decision to gazette Ulu Muda Forest Reserve as a state park, thus ensuring the water supply not only for the state, but also for neighbouring states Penang and Perlis.

Overcoming Kedah’s water woes was one of the the promises made by the new government, and this is certainly a step in the right direction. Well done! 👏

Moving forward, we are also ready to work with the state government on the establishment of the state park.
