They Call It Puppy Love. There Are So Many Unwante..

They call it puppy love!

There are so many unwanted puppies born onto the streets each day, but luckily Soi Dog’s spay and neuter programme is making great headway. My name is Conutcha, and I was born onto the streets of Phuket. When I was old enough, Soi Dog sent their animal rescue officers out to collect me and some other dogs from my area to bring us in for sterilisation.

However, when I arrived, the vets noticed I had severe diarrhea and a high fever, so they took me in for treatment. As I grew bigger and stronger, it became apparent that I had orthopedic problems which were causing my bones to form abnormally. The vets monitored these issues, but luckily I did not need treatment because it was not causing me any pain.

I consider myself lucky to be here at Soi Dog because who knows how long I would have survived on the streets as an ill puppy. I can now spend my days rolling in the grass, basking in the sun and playing with the other dogs, you know, all the things puppies like to do! The volunteers say I am a sweet girl who will do anything for a cuddle or a treat. Couldn’t you see me curled up at your feet at the end of a long day? I know I can.
