Black Cats Are Unlucky? Soi Cat Chaaim Is Here To ..

Black cats are unlucky? Soi cat Chaaim is here to tell you this is fake mews!

Unlucky, unphotogenic and unnoticeable – these are just some of the moggie myths that leave black cats at the bottom of the list for adoption. This #BlackCatsAppreciationMonth, we’re setting out to bust some of these myths and find homes for the shelter’s dark-furred feline friends.

The first big obstacle that black cats come up against is the belief that they’re “unlucky” or that they “bring bad fortune”. This is thought to originate from early American settlers who believed that black cats were in fact shapeshifting witches in disguise. 🧙‍♀️ Unlikely, perhaps, but it caught on, and before long these innocent kitties were seen as spooky symbols of superstition 🔮

Well, soi cat Chaaim is here to tell you that this is fake mews! In fact, she wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for a great deal of luck.

When Chaaim was just two months old, she was the victim of a cruel and deliberate attack that left her hind legs badly fractured. She found herself in excruciating pain and unable to move. But…

✨ Luckily, a passerby scooped her up and rushed her to Soi Dog just in time.

✨ Luckily, and against the odds, she kept both of her legs after her fractures were surgically repaired with a plate and screws.

✨ Luckily, she’s now plate and screws free, fully recovered and has only a small scar to remind her of her ordeal.

✨ And luckily, a generous donor who heard about her plight has donated towards her travel costs to her forever home!

Despite her charming and friendly nature, our lucky charm Chaaim has been waiting for 491 days and counting for the purrfect home. If you can offer this to her, please enquire today: https://links.soidog.org/give-Chaaim-a-chance
