This sweet girl was rescued from a life of cruelty. She was found with a deep wound around her neck – most likely from rope or a chain. She must have been in such a lot of pain, for a long time.

Thankfully, she got the urgent care she needed and the safety she required. Over time, her wounds healed and her sweet, fun and loving nature began to show. Then it wasn’t long after that this gorgeous girl was adopted by a family in Canada. And then in October, BB-Eight was one of the lucky pups who with the help of animal lovers like you, finally flew to the new life she has always dreamt of. Just look how wonderful her life is now! 🦆 🐶

During this global health crisis, the only way we can get adopted dogs out of the shelter is by cargo. There are simply no tourists to travel with them to their forever homes. We desperately need to get more dogs out not only so they finally get to the life they truly deserve, but so that we have the space to help more in dire need.
