A Big Shout Out To Our Donors And Partners For The..

A big shout out to our donors and partners for their continued support to the Sarawak Conservation Programme. Between August and December, we managed to carry out several activities when inter-district travel and small group gatherings were allowed while adhering to strict to Covid-19 SOPs set out by the government. Working closely with government agencies, forest management units, like-minded NGOS and communities, our team among others:

.

🔸Carried out sustainable pepper and tagang project monitoring in selected longhouses in the interior of Kapit.

🔸Retrieved and installed camera-traps in the hinterlands of Kapit.

Carried out monitoring work on river restoration and sustainable rice farming projects in Lawas.

🔸Planted native tree species in Bau to help restore Jagoi Heritage Forest.

🔸Signed MoA with community-based platforms that helps in improving people’s well-being and the environment in Sarawak’s northern region.

🔸Held a workshop in Kuching to empower a community-based organisation, on project management in relation to forestry and community development.

.

Lastly, a pat on our team’s shoulder for a job well done – adapting to the new norm of working and more importantly, continuing to conserve the planet for all.
