It was during an intense storm that Smoocher was found lying in the gutter.

He was being pelted by driving rain but his desperate whimpering had gone unheard. Invisible to the speeding cars that thundered past where he lay, Smoocher was terrified and shivering uncontrollably.

At just 15 weeks old, he had been abandoned in a rain-clogged drain and left to die.

Smoocher was found by a good Samaritan who was walking past. In desperation, he scooped him up and brought him to a nearby mobile sterilisation clinic being run by Soi Dog. After examination by our vets, he was rushed to our shelter.

With a severely enlarged stomach and an emaciated body, Smoocher has been diagnosed with blood parasites, low blood platelets and severe anaemia. He is also suffering with diarrhoea and was infested with ticks on arrival.

We are determined to save this little boy and will keep you updated on his progress.
