I’M DASH – PLEASE ADOPT ME!

FOR ALL QUESTIONS ABOUT ME OR TO ADOPT ME, PLEASE EMAIL cristy@soidog.org

Life as a street cat in Thailand can be so frightening. Every day is a fight to survive: trying to find food, trying to avoid aggressive dogs, trying to find shade from blazing sunshine or shelter from torrential downpours. This is the life of the average street cat, but I am not average.

My name is Dash and I am nearly blind and have FeLV.

My life as a blind cat roaming the dark streets of Thailand was terrifying enough and I didn’t think it could get much worse. I found out how wrong I was the day I got hit by a car. I got flung to the side of the road and lay there, seeing nothing but darkness and feeling nothing but pain. The roar of the traffic passing by terrified me but I couldn’t move. The accident had left me unable to walk.

Since being at the shelter in Phuket, I have learnt to walk again and I am being cared for. I no longer have to search blindly for food and listen constantly for the sound of threats. My life is better but it is not a life. I am only two years of age; I don’t want to spend the rest of my days in a shelter. I long for a home of my own but am afraid to dream it might happen.

I have very limited eye sight so I would have to be an indoor cat, but I promise you that would never be a problem. I am litter-trained and I am used to indoor life now. I get on with other cats and when the humans come to visit me and I sense they are close, I like to walk up to them and stand beside them. I love humans.

Can you please offer me a home? Can you open your heart to me and promise to look after me forever? The adoptions people here will organise everything for you. If you are the one for me, then please get in touch. I long for someone to get me out of this shelter and into a home of my own.

Help me, please.
