Our pets are just like humans — they need vaccinations to stay healthy and to keep potentially deadly diseases away. They also need boosters to keep the vaccines effective.

If your dog has already been vaccinated then treatment usually entails just a booster vaccine. This will help RE-AFFIRM the dog’s IMMUNITY to rabies and further REDUCE the chances of it developing. Even though your dog may be vaccinated, you are required to keep the dog in for observation for up to 7-10 days if rabies is suspected.

Don’t Lose Your Dog’s Rabies Documentation! If your dog has been vaccinated for rabies but you don’t have the documentation proving it … if he’s exposed to a rabid animal he’ll probably be treated like a completely unvaccinated dog. So hang on to that paperwork, even long after the vaccinations have officially expired.

Rabies kills humans and it is endemic to our area. Not only is rabies vaccination required by LAW, it is essential in CONTROLLING the SPREAD of this disease and paramount in keeping your family PROTECTED.
