A PET IS FOR LIFE – NOT JUST A SEASON

Recently, we have received a surge of requests – both from potential adopters who want to get an animal as a gift for their loved ones and from owners who want to surrender their pets to us. These pets are being cleared out of their homes just like old furniture, because the owners do not have time for them anymore.

Hence, if you are thinking of giving a pet as a gift this season, please think twice.

Before taking the leap, consider this for yourself or the recipient: Do you have the time and financial commitment to take care of this pet for its entire lifetime? If it is not a resounding yes, please take some time to rethink your decision.

As much as we encourage adoption, we need to ensure that responsible pet ownership follows closely after. If you wish to help an animal but are not able to fully commit to taking care of it, there are many ways you can help.
