We Are The 'Mae' Family, Come Get To Know Us!

Hello! We’re the Mae family, made up of one mother, Maepetch, and three daughters, Maeploy, Maengern and Maethong.

We were rescued from the streets of Phuket in April 2019 after Soi Dog’s animal rescue officers found us struggling to survive. Because we all suffer from varying degrees of blindness, we couldn’t see the dangers that lay around us, and it was becoming harder and harder to find food and water. The officers knew we would be much safer at the shelter.

The “Mae” in our names translates to “mother” in Thai, and the rest of our names refer to different types of gemstones. Just like gemstones, we are all precious and unique in our own special way. There’s Maepetch with her gentle nature and crossed eyes, Maeploy with her infectious energy and fox-like features, Maengern with her boundless affection and ear-to-ear grin and Maethong with her confident, adventurous spirit, despite losing both of her eyes.

This #nopawsleftbehind month, we are all hoping to find homes to call our own, whether or not that may be together or individually. We are all available for adoption both locally in Thailand or overseas.
