Have you ever experienced the feeling of being homeless…?

The old dog owner passed away due to a stroke, all of his three dogs were driven out of the house by the owner’s son. He sublet the house out, and the ignorant dogs suddenly became stray dogs and was forced to loiter on the street every day.

Looking at the house that sheltered them from wind and rain before, they are wondering why can’t they enter the door again?

Fortunately, there were the neighborhood who helped to feed them, but sadly, the doggies were not familiar with road crises, two of them were hit by car and died 😢 The only dog ​​left alone was wandering helplessly in the same place day after day…

We gave him a name, “Da Er”.

Da Er seems to be waiting for his old master and his friends to reappear and spend a good time together as before …

He also often wandered around the nearby shopping mall, because there was a kind girl who worked in the mall that would feed him from time to time. But one day, the mall changed a new security guard and he often drives Da Er away and even throw broom on him.

Nowhere in the world can accommodate him, Da Er doesn’t know where to go. He often stands in the middle of the road even in rainy days and was not alert to the traffic. Fortunately, the cars will slow down to avoid him.

The kind feeder contacted us with a broken heart. After hearing what happened to Da Er, we felt really sad.

“Let him join our big family, at least he won’t be beaten again, he won’t go hungry, and he will have a roof over his head.”

Although the shelter is so crowded, but we want Da Er to know that there are still people in the world who are willing to accept him, and there is a place for him in this world …

Here is an appeal to all pet owners, please be sure to PREPARE A PLAN B for your pets! 🙏

Imagine if one day you are away or take a step earlier than your pets (touch wood), can someone help to take care of them? Especially for elders or pet owner living alone, this is really a very realistic issue that requires serious consideration.

Pets need to be taken care of throughout their lives. Once they lose their main caregivers, they are destined to be lonely and helpless.

If your old parent keep cats and dogs, but you don’t like pets, we hope that you can at least make some efforts to re-home the pets as they were once your parents’ precious furbabies, instead of being as cruel and ruthless like the son in Da Er’s family.

Our four core missions are rescuing, re-homing, sterilization and increasing public awareness of pet ownership and responsibilities. Currently, we are caring for approximately 700 abandoned animals in our shelter located at Lima Kedai.
