Turtle Are Known To Be One Of The Slowest Animals...

Turtle are known to be one of the slowest animals. But did you know that they can be fast when they need to?

This week we will present the fastest turtle species in Malaysia! At the top of the list, Leatherback Turtle is not only the biggest turtle in the world, but also the fastest! We also have Olive Ridley Turtle, which is claimed to be almost as fast as the Leatherback Turtle.

Green Turtle can swim at 30km/h which is equivalent to you running 100 meters in 12 seconds!

Although they can, this doesn’t mean they would swim at these speeds all the time. It is only when they are threatened or catching their prey that they would swim at this speed. Usually, they would swim leisurely, at slower speed to conserve energy.
