Clearly Something �not Quite Right�

I’m sorry I have to say this, but I hope you’d allow me to say my piece and be done with it. I need to get this off my chest.

Remember the schoolteacher who refused to understand policies and feigns ignorance whenever anything does not favour her? She was the one who broke my (camel’s) back and made me decide to do away with panel vets once and for all.

She had earlier borrowed two of our cages for long-term use since she wanted to spay a few cats. She wanted them until late January, but I told her she had to return them already as other rescuers wanted to borrow it too. Nobody borrows for such a long-term. Even with the traps, new rescuers, instead of borrowing ours, opted to buy their own.

So I told her that with her schoolteacher’s salary, she could (and should!) buy her own cages so that I can lend ours out to the really needy ones.

At least THAT much got through to her, so she returned the cages to my old house.

Now, folks, if you had to return cages to someone who is not at home, how would you do it? Where would you place it?

I went back to my old house to collect the cages only to find them leaning against the pillar, but all flattened.

Gosh, what happened? What did she do to my cages?

Later, my husband asked me who had placed the two cages right beside the gate FLAT on driveway. It was already dark, and he could not see them as he was driving into the driveway of the old house to check the repair works. The two cages were placed FLAT on the ground right beside the gate.

So, unknowingly, my husband rolled over both cages and hence, they are FLAT now. It was my husband who then placed the cages against the pillar.

WHO, in her right frame of mind, with average intelligence, would place cages FLAT on the driveway?

I couldn’t stand it and called her. She did not pick up, as expected.

Being one in the teaching profession and with no disrespect to teachers in general, this probably explains why the quality of teaching in our education system has dropped so tremendously these days.

Please forgive me for this ranting. I need to get this out of my chest.

I have no vocabulary to appropriately describe this kind of behaviour or mentality.

With no reference to anyone in particular, I think it was Einstein who said the only thing that is infinite in the universe is human stupidity, right?

Okay, all said, *BREATHE*, now on to happier news….
