Updates On 1st Jul 2018

Dear all,

Starting 10th July 2018, My Vet Clinic, a veterinary clinic located at PAWS, will be open to the general public. My Vet Clinic provides veterinary services such as general health check and treatment, vaccination, neutering, and soft tissue surgery. We would like to clarify that we are not directly affiliated with this clinic, which is wholly owned by Dr. Sujey (016-5939158). PAWS is merely renting out the premises to My Vet Clinic.

Additionally, starting 10th July 2018, all animals surrendered to PAWS must undergo a general health check before they can be surrendered. PAWS has contracted My Vet Clinic to provide these services, and there will be a RM5 vetting fee per animal, to be borne by the surrenderer, and paid to My Vet Clinic. The surrender fee paid to PAWS will remain unchanged.

Overall, we believe this to be a huge step forward for PAWS as we now have easy access to veterinary services for our animals at the shelter as well.

PAWS

PAWS was founded in 1987 by a small group of local and expatriate volunteers. Through their generosity and imagination, PAWS was constructed on a patch of land owned by Sime Plantations on the Subang Airport Road. This distinct group of sheds and a courtyard still stands today and currently homes around 400 cats and dogs.

The staff that work at PAWS include one veterinary surgeon and a number of full-time personnel. The organisation depends entirely on the generosity of the public through donations or proceeds from charitable events organized and run by volunteers.
