Thank You Very Much (April 2019)

It’s time again to thank everyone again for their very kind and generous support of our work.

For once in the last (almost) ten years, dog neutering outnumbered cat neutering this month, but only by one! It is also probably because there were a few cat claims which were non-compliant.

Some applicants still do not know our policy requirements, such as, having full names on the receipt, or the vet’s signature and stamp on the receipt, the deadline of 2 weeks, etc.

Some people simply refuse to read and don’t mind wasting postage money and time sending in non-compliant applications. But it also wastes my time having to explain to them why their applications were rejected.  It takes more time to handle a rejected application than to process a compliant one! Indeed, to bank in money and publish the photos and report on the blog takes a shorter time than explaining to an applicant why their application did not meet our requirements, handling the dissatisfaction and what else that might follow from that.

Meanwhile, there is a slight increase in the vaccination claims. This is a good sign.  While there is a worldwide concern over the dangers of over-vaccination, we are only promoting the first vaccination and a booster for each street animal. According to our vets who know the Malaysian environment well enough, this first vaccination provides a very much needed protection for our local street animals.
