“Hey, I’m Nutto, but the humans have lots of other names for me, like Nutter, The Nutster, Little One, Cutie Paws – honestly, how do they come up with these? – Snaggletooth and Black Beauty. I also find it strange that my only crime for still being here is because black cats like me are seen as evil. To be honest, I have far better things to do than plot for world domination.

I spent a long time in the shelter’s special cat hospital recovering from reconstructive surgery to my injured jaw and a stubborn bout of cat flu, but I made it out eventually. Since then, I’ve been making up for lost time by taking every opportunity to run, play, pounce, cuddle, nuzzle, snooze and schmooze. I confess, the only evil thought that crosses my mind is how jealous I feel when I see my beautiful fellow cat mates gets adopted – how I wish it was me!” – Nutto, a.k.a. Saber-toothed street cat
