Selangor Plans To Ban Pet Stores From Selling Cats And Dogs Soon

Definitely a move in the right direction. With the overwhelming number of stray, abandoned animals roaming our streets, we hope this plan fructifies in the national interests.

*Remember – the sole purpose to breed a dog/cat, is to advance the breed.* Currently, the standard of breeding in our country, is highly questionable with no regulations whatsoever. This raises questions on the quality of pets being sold in pet stores too.

THERE are plans to ban all pet stores in Selangor from selling cats and dogs to encourage the public to adopt pets from shelters, says Selangor local government, public transportation and new village development committee chairman Ng Sze Han.
