This snippet about a baby orangutan is just a glimpse of one of the many stories shaped during the Storytelling and Narratives: Making Stories That Matter workshop. With guidance from inspiring trainer Melissa Leong, we learned how to unlock the emotional heart of our work.

Storytelling isn’t just about telling — it’s about sending a message with heart, clarity, and purpose. Over two days, our team — working at the intersection of conservation, communities, and sustainable land use — explored how words hold the power to move, mobilise, and create change. We learned how to speak meaningfully to our audiences, uncover hidden narratives, and shape them into stories that resonate — from gripping openers to heartfelt truths.
