About Myself
I have been an animal welfare activist for over 25 years. Our NON PROFIT COMPANY is called Save A Stray Berhad. Its our name,. Its our work and our Motto too. After reading the Ketam swamp dogs were swimming back,I called The Chairperson of SPCA to join forces in rescuing these dogs back.I seeked Dr. Nadzariah Cheng who offered her services voluntary. Together we worked out a long term Master solution to P. Ketam Strays issues on the 24/4/09. SPCA cruelty inspectors and I embarked on an investigation on the 27 & 28 April, 2009 & on behalf of our joined efforts, I gave our press release on the results & our master guidelines to the issue. Never did we envisaged to see " Dog eat Dog " when we embarked to review the dump site at P. Silat Kering with a local committee member on the 4 May,2009. The rest is history. But we didn't return to KL to plan & activate Emergency Rescue till all measures were made & taken to ensure the starving dogs were fed DAILY regardless of the logistic.
After which,Save A Stray plunged into Planning and mapping operations in managing P. Ketam Strays. Our Proposal on Strays Management in Pulau Ketam was accepted by the Municipality of Port Klang as guidelines. Our sterilization & rehoming Procedure was also accepted by the MPK Anjing Special Task Force too on 18/5/09. Following which, the Dept. of Veterinary Services granted us permission to run a sterilization station in Ketam Village for strays. MPK allocated us 5,000sq. ft. space & a token sum but both are still forth coming. We tried to expedite our sterilization programme but the local villagers refused to rent in fear of us "dirtying their premises ". We have now located an ideal transit point along Kesas Highway & is desperately seeking sponsorship for its rent. All financial help are also necessary for a whole outfit in operating theatre, medicine & equipments, cages, etc, etc are needed right from scratch to start solving the Ketam Problem.
Dear Animals Loving Friends , your supports will kindle constructive long term solution to not only Ketam but strays elsewhere. Please help & kindly pass our appeal onwards too.
Our website is currently under construction.Save A Stray Berhad RHB bank A/C no. : 21437000039576 with receipt to Donor's name & address given.

Wish there were more people like you. I myself will do all I can to help a stray. Currently taking care of 3 kittens I saved from the street. I'm a Muslim but I'll definitely help a stray dog. Nothing dirty about them. I'll be out teaching in about a year and I'll be sure to pass on the love for animals to my pupils.
God bless.

Irena,
Lack of transport is a problem. Its too costly to provide someone to fetch you to do the job & send you back.

Francis, we hope to be able to help them too. Can you help ? Can you be the "manager " of this project ? We need a base manager at any project we undertake ; call it division of labour if you like.Otherwise, the project will not succeed & drags onto greater tragedies. We are in the miss of Trying to save 30+ adults in a Development site in Sunway. We have intervened , save & rehomed 23 of the 28 puppies of this community. They are the second round since we started talking with Management. The third round have already appeared. Management only wants to keep a third of the community. This we wouldn't agreed. We took all every single one of the second round of birth & foot all the expenses in support that all their parents, uncles & aunties, sisters & brothers & cousins & all will continue to live there with no further puppies of course. We are waiting for the outcome now after the new year.
I wioll touch base with you soon. Presently, other than our huge numbers of wards here ; I have been invited into the MPPJ, MPK's Canine Advisory Team. I have to look into the recent MPSJ round up this Thursday too.Pls think how you can help this unfortunate discards from the selfishness of Man.

Hi Jac, I am staying close by a new construction site, 1120 Park Avenue. This is close to Wisma Peter at Jalan Klang Lama. I do see quite a number of strays at the site. The whole gang bang will come out sometimes in the middle of the night, walking aimlessly close to my house. Because of that Sam and Sky will be barking furiously at them. Don't know whether you can help to round them up for possible adoptions. The puppies and adult dogs look cute and healthy. I wonder where they get their food!!! I feel so sorry for them and I hope you can do like what you did for the Sunway puppies or the Pulau Ketam dogs.

Gillian's dad travels too much. One day ,grandma slakened & found Gillian with a suitor. We prayed they didn't got married for she was HOT ! Three appointments had been made;. We were assured she will come on the 14/1/10. Otherwise, it would be too late & Sam would be a very young auntie.

Not exactly. It still happens once in awhile. I hope it will go away as she grows older. BTW, how is Gillian. She is doing OK as well?
