I'd like the world to meet Sandy. The pup, not the girl. The girl's me. I was five when I got her and because of this Lab, my childhood was the best. Now, initially, I was planning on naming her Brownie. I know right, five year old me, coming up with the most generic name but when my brother brainwashed me to name her, Sandy, I stuck with it because it suited her. With the sand coloured fur and all. She was a playful pup and never rested. Something like her big sister, me. We both always got into trouble. And that's just one thing we have in common. You wouldn't guess what she used to get into trouble for. Drinking oil. Yes, no need to read twice. As Indians, we usually have an oil lamp in our alter and somehow she got to it and downed to whole thing. She was crazy. We were inseparable. I mean, there were times when she couldn't stand me. I would always disturb her when she was trying to sleep or even eat. In the end though, we were the platinum duo and anything we did, we did together. Notice how I keep using past tense like "was" and "were". Yeah, unfortunately, after eleven years of my life, Sandy... grew up. No, she did not leave this world to go to doggy heaven. She just got old and now all she wants from me is a massage. She still loves me, though and there's no doubt in my heart that I love her. Now with her two sisters, Sally and Sazey, Sandy continues to enjoy her life as the older sister who used to get into so much trouble.
