Brindle was rescued from the pound on 5 February, 2014. He was one of 13 dogs that had just been caught by the municipal council. They were all to be put down if not adopted within a week. The efforts to rescue the dogs began near the end of January 2014. Many e-mails and phone calls were made to find a temporary home for these 13 dogs to get them out of the pound first, while we worked on getting them permanent homes eventually. Unfortunately, no one could help until Dr Chan Kah Yein of AnimalCares stepped in and through her kind efforts, arranged to have them housed at PAWS under its SAPP (“Sponsor-A-Pet” Programme), costing RM150 per dog per month.

When we first met the 13, Brindle was one of the curious ones, but didn’t catch our fancy until we started getting to know him. He’s affectionate and well-behaved, although he can get quite active/hyper at times.
More about Brindle:
- Friendly, "manja" and very people-oriented
- Obedient, easy to handle
- Well-behaved even when at the vet’s
- Excellent disposition
Brindle is currently being housed at PAWS (address below). If you wish to meet him, please quote his tag number "D128()" to the staff at PAWS.
