ANIVERSITY (6 DECEMBER)
Aniversity is back by popular demand, for children between the ages of seven and 12.
Participants can look forward to :
1) an educational talk on pet care and animal welfare;
2) an interaction session with our shelter animals;
3) and Painting with Pooches (PWP) activity, conducted by Loyal D.
This is a good opportunity for children to learn about animals, and their behaviour as well as express their love for animals on canvas.

Meet Zak and Noel, two active puppies of approximately three months old.
Zak and Noel had three other siblings who have all been adopted. The pack of five were found in a forested area and as they were very young and there was no mother in sight after observing over a day, the concerned member of the public brought the puppies to the SPCA.

ZEUS, A THREE WEEK OLD MAGGOT WOUND PUPPY
This is Zeus, a Singapura Special puppy. He was rescued on 3 October at Sungei Gedong Road, when he was about three weeks old.
When we brought Zeus back to the SPCA, he was examined by our vet and was found with a huge maggot wound, about 4 cm with fibrosis, on the right side of his abdominal wall. Much time was spent removing the maggots and flushing the wound on a daily basis, to ensure that no foreign matter and dead tissue remained in the open ...

Meet Claris - a eight-month old, Singapura Special girl.
She was found wandering along Jalan Lekar in July and a concerned member of the public, fearing for Claris's safety as there were a lot of heavy vehicles along the road, confined her and contacted us as she felt that Claris most likely had an owner, as she was friendly and knew basic commands.

On 19th October at approximately 11 am, a dog was found dead in the canal along Old Choa Chu Kang Road. The dog was found with its head stuck in a pipe.
We are appealing for any information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the person/s responsible for this act.

Adoption Spotlight - Criss Cross

ADOPTION SPOTLIGHT - CRISS CROSS
Meet our friendly Singapura Special girl ; Criss Cross. She was found with an injured foreleg at Tuas Crescent and was brought back to the SPCA where her injuries were attended to by our vet.
Criss Cross has since recovered and is slowly weight bearing on the injured foreleg. She is food motivated and easy to train.
As Criss Cross is a medium sized girl, she will not be suitable for those living in HDBs.
