Here's an interesting animal that stole the limelight while the Macaque Team was out taking photo identification of a Macaque troop! The Greater Racket-tailed Drongos ; with a passing by Macaque in the background, are known as “burung hamba kera” which actually means “slave bird of the macaque”. This post shows the process of reintroducing a macaque to the troop. In this case, one macaque had been in quarantine for a few days to receive treatment for an injury. Over time, there was a possibility that his troop may have forgotten him, and attack him as a result. We needed to work as a team to ensure his safety, the safety of the rest of the troop, and that of our own.
