Why does our ACRES logo feature a dancing blue monkey?
Well, our logo is indeed inspired by a monkey - a special monkey named Blue - who was the first animal rescued from the illegal wildlife trade by ACRES.
Blue was rescued from a miserable life as a ‘pet’ here in Singapore, kept alone, chained up in a small cage. It was no life for a free-spirited monkey.

Today marks the 9th anniversary of Ramba’s passing. I still miss her loads and I wish I could have done more for her…
Ramba is the reason ACRES exists and the memories of the time I spent with her will always remain in my heart. I miss you so much Ramba.

Many of us get upset when we hear about pigeon culling. The good news is that we can all play a part in controlling and reducing the pigeon population naturally.
The best thing we can do to help pigeons is to simply make less food available to them, and then the population will be controlled naturally.
Some people feed pigeons with good intentions of helping them, but in fact this does a lot more harm than good. Providing food for the pigeons means the population will grow beyond the carry...
