Li fe is pretty simple in the world of a dog and nothing says LOVE more than a good meal. Rescuer Sasha Pesic has built a true oasis for dogs in Nis, Serbia and our charity, the Harmony Fund, has been helping feed the dogs each month. It's no small task. We wish we had a small army to help!

Meals For 300 Dogs In Egypt

Last month Harmony Fund provided a month's supply of meals for the Freedom Animal Shelter in Giza, Egypt. Our supporters also helped with the wages for the men who keep the dogs fed, cleaned and cared for. There are so many homeless and hungry dogs in this region. SMALL EMERGENCY
The Freedom Shelter in Giza, Egypt is in a very difficult spot because they didn't raise enough money to pay their workers at the end of August. There's $420 to be raised in order to keep the workers on for another month. There are hundreds of dogs here and they need this staff who give them meals, clean the grounds, provide fresh water, check for health problems, etc. If we can raise the $420 over the weekend, it will help keep the dogs in good care through the month of Sept...

A life story....
The nurse who took this picture said: ′′ It's been 23 days since this patient arrived at the hospital and none of his family came to ask for his health during those 23 days.
But a pigeon comes flying in every 2 days and sits on his bed. The pigeon stays for a while and then flies away again ".
Then we discovered that the man sat on the park bench at the hospital every day and fed the pigeons, including this one in particular.
People forget, but not this bird.

RAID TO SAVE THE LAST 40 DOGS!
This morning was incredibly tense as we fought tooth and nail to secure custody of the final 40 dogs from an illegal and extremely neglectful shelter in Romania. Once again, the police shrugged their shoulders and were going to do nothing to assist when our rescued vans pulled up. But we would not turn back.
The five hour drive is much shorter on the way home when you have 40 souls tucked safely inside. This is a day we have dreamed of for a very long time afte...
