Operasi Quack, Plan B

I spotted the Quack twice this morning. He was at the playground.
My friend, Agnes, had already made plans to bring her trap over and we’d try to catch the Quack this morning.
But by 10am, four workers had come to the playground to do some construction work and it was very noisy.
Anyway, Agnes arrived with her trap and baked fish as bait.
The first thing to do was to cage Rosie with Ginger so that Rosie won’t be accidentally trapped.

Ginger Day 8 – An Amazing Shrinkage Of The “lump”

I checked Ginger’s “lump” this morning and I was totally amazed. It had shrunk to 1/3 of its size in just 24 hours. My guess is, the one week’s antibiotic jabs and the follow-up of oral antibiotics are working. Hopefully, the lump will disappear soon.

It’s always been a nightmare feeding any pill or liquid medicine to my brood of 7, so I braced myself for the task. What more when Ginger is a community cat and not even my pet.

Don’t Mess With Cleo (a Story Of Feline Hierarchy)

With 7 cats, there is often room for change in the feline hierarchical ladder in my brood.
Currently, it goes like this:
Tabs bullies the outside cats. Bunny bullies Tabs. Cow bullies Bunny. Indy bullies Cow (yes…this is something new which started recently).
An Indy-Cow confrontation.
Note Cow’s lowered ears?
For now, nobody bullies Indy. I think it’s because nobody can quite figure out Indy.

Diatomaceous Earth For The Inside Brood

Ginger Day 7….another One More Week….*sigh*

Last night, I noticed another wound on Ginger’s underside.
Now, how did I miss this the other day?
(This photo was taken after application of iodine on it)
I had been rubbing the Diatomaceous Earth on his fur but I did not notice this wound on his underside.
The flesh around it was hard.
Could this be a new wound inflicted on the Thursday that he had escaped for 4-5 hours?
We’ll never know. Luckily he had been on antibiotics since Monday.
