When Diva Was Here…

For the last two days…
…while Diva was here,
My two youngest cats were clearly jealous.
Tabs hissed.
Indy took voluntary exile and sought asylum….behind Pole’s condo.
Can you spot him?
There….
And that night, he refused to come into the room. He spent the night on the chair at the Clubhouse, to be as far away as possible from the rest….as a mark of protest!
Luckily our place is now escape-proof, otherwise, Indy might have run away from home agai...

Diva, At Mary’s House

Here are some updates on Diva, at Mary’s house:
Hi KY
Diva settled well in my house yesterday. She sleep throughout the car ride (must be tired after exploring your house the whole day) and well behaved when I introduced her to Uncle Tigger and Aunty Winnie, but the two hissed at her. Both, Tigger and Winnie went on hunger strike and you can see in one of the pic, Winnie tucked herself in the bathroom sink ha ha ha.

My Deepest Apologies, The Mistake Is Most Regretted

I was informed this morning by a friend that one of my blog posts in the previous weeks had contained the price of the food (Sunsuper-food) purchased by a certain shelter operator and the name of the shop from which it was purchased was also published. You know how I always cut and paste what is sent to me and the only information I remove are vets’ and clinic names.

I just had a most unpleasant conversation with a rescuer who is asking for food subsidy. I cannot BELIEVE how unreasonable and demanding some people can be. When they ask for help, they dictate terms and it’s worse when they use the “I’ve done this for umpteen years and I know what I’m doing” line on you.
Since when, in our human culture, dare we dictate terms when we ask another for help?

Keeping The Mischievous One Out Of Mischief (Diva News)

After the afternoon episode where I was more freaked out than she, Diva was frontlined and caged. I needed the break!
She had her evening meal just now (ate most heartily) and jumped down to go explore around the piano this time. Uh-uh, nope, you’re not going under the piano because it takes EIGHT able-bodied men to lift the piano.

When Shirley Wong called me for help on 4th Feb, I had already offered our medical subsidy.
Nothing was done until 12th Feb when the dog was already in a severely critical condition.
She asked if we would still subsidise if she sent the dog for treatment and for the sake of the poor dog, I said yes.
It was too late to save the dog. He died that night itself.

MAX FOUND ALIVE!!! Max, actually renamed Maxine when we discovered he was a she has been found alive today by Khun Kharn. SDF's GM in Bangkok. Max became world famous when the stunning photo of her taken by Cindy clinging to the side of a boat was broadcast by CNN and others. She was rescued and taken to the bridge at Phuttamonthon but on evacuation day had disappeared and no sign of her could be found. Gigia's Story... Gigia was found at Patong Beach by a restaurant owner. A man was apparently hitting her with a piece of wood & threatening to kill her. Soi Dog rescued Gigia & brought her to the shelter where she is now safe & cared for. She is a very kind, friendly dog who loves people & gets on with well with the other dogs in her run. Adorable But Oh-So-Naughty Little Diva

I just spent the last 1 hour trying to “extricate” Diva from her hiding place…
I came home from work and saw Diva had made those precious “rocks” (glorious poo!) we had been waiting for – well-formed and good looking ones, too. So, that’s a relief…at least we now know she can pee and poo on her own. There was pee in the litter box as well. More than that, she had also kicked sand out of her box onto the floor and overturned her water bowl.

Animal Rescue: Puppy Under A Pavement

This little guy was found by community caregivers yelping in distress in the middle of the night. He was stuck under a pavement, hungry and his mother was nowhere to be found. With the help of the caregivers, our Animal Rescue Officer dug an opening through the ground to the puppy and was able to free him. The puppy was taken back to SPCA and is now safely in a foster home.
