Update On Jack. Suture Been Removed For Both Forel.. 1st Aug 2021, by Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better
Update on Jack :
Suture been removed for both forelimbs and all wounds healed well. However both limbs are still support with splints during postoperative care to minimise chances of plate breakdown. Occasionally, the ward assistant or vet will let him out for a walk around the ward area with close monitoring.
Appetite, bowel and urine so far so good. He has put on weight about 2kg (current body weight 22.4kg).
Jack is schedule for stage 4 surgery (not so soon) for interdental wire removal ...

Update on Sam:
During postoperative care, Dr Lian noticed most of the time Sam is in sternal recumbency or lying down. An x-ray was taken and found there are 2 pins backing out or migrating from the bone 4 weeks after surgery (reconstruction right hind distal harris fracture (growth plate fracture) with multiple pins).
Another surgery was performed to remove 2 migrated pins and castration. Sam is currently on postoperative rehabilitation and had his 1st vaccination.

About 2-3 weeks ago, we bumped into this female cat with sporotrichosis at Dutamas but we were in a hurry and we didn’t have any carrier with us at that time. We know we must get her for treatment otherwise she will die. Many vets would suggest euthanasia but we have cured cats with sporotrichosis and a few are still with us.
