The serai stories continue…
We have three potted serai plants to rotate; one for the Blondies, one of the Monsters and one intermediate plant for rotation. It’s like when two persons dine in a Chinese restaurant, they serve you three cups of Chinese tea; for for each person and one more intermediate one to cool down the tea.
So, the Monsters have totally destroyed their pot (leaving only several straggly brown stalks) and so we had to let them over to eat the Blondies’ serai&...

It’s very fascinating watching Kai balance on the clothes lines with such ease every morning. She never fails to do this, to watch the insects flit to and fro from the tree branches.

The owner didn’t spay the mother dog, and she ran out of the house. She accidentally got pregnant and gave birth to a few puppies. Her siblings have all been adopted by good families, but she is the only one left who is still searching for her forever home.
The owner still insists that he is going to send her to PAWS if she doesn’t get adopted soon, even though we have told him they will put her to sleep😔

Yesterday Evening, We Responded To Jane On Help To..

Yesterday evening, we responded to Jane on help to catch some dogs that she has been feeding at Cheras for neutering.
Jane started to lure the dogs into the enclosure but the targeted female dogs didn’t go in and eat , only the alpha male dog then followed by the pups.
Just when we were about to call it off, suddenly this female dog went in and ate, that’s when we quickly sneaked up on her and closed the gate. And the rest is history.

Tabs To The Vet’s (PCKD Check-Up)

Along with Ginger, we also took Tabs to the vet’s for her PCKD check-up today.
Unlike Ginger, Tabs’ CKD has progressed. Granted, hers is actually a PCKD and not CKD alone. Tabs has polycystic chronic kidney disease whereby multiple cysts presents in both her kidneys. It is a structural deformity and there is nothing we can do about it except to manage the CKD. The presence of these growing fluid-filled cysts impedes her kidney functions thereby leading to CKD. Ginger To The Vet’s (CKD And Paw Wound Check)

We took Ginger and Tabs to the vet for their CKD progression check-up today.
I will talk about Ginger first.
Ginger’s paw wound hasn’t completely healed yet. When the vet removed the scab, there was still a bit of bleeding, and it hasn’t dried up yet. Still a little bit of swelling. He doesn’t need anymore antibiotics for it, but I have to keep applying Fucidin twice daily and monitor this wound. The reason is, there is a condition called “lung-digit syndrome”...
