Good news for 2017: With the hard work of Turtle Guardians comprising local communities, staff of Department of Fisheries Melaka and WWF-Malaysia, we successfully secured a total of 574 hawksbill turtle nests in the state of Melaka! WWF-Malaysia's Programme Leader for our Sabah Terrestrial Conservation Programme (STCP), Julia Ng inserts a tusk into an elephant as a symbolic gesture of an ongoing commitment to conservation. Julia was in Brunei over the weekend to receive RM50,000 funding from Bruneian company D’Sunlit Sdn. Bhd. The funding received will be channeled into STCP’s elephant conservation efforts.

Remember Lucky? Lucky was abandoned at our shelter last Sunday. A guy read our post and came to shelter to 'bail' Lucky out.
According to the adopter, Lucky was a stray dog roaming around his office area. Lucky is under medical treatment with one of reknown veterinar in Kuching.
The act of abandoning was performed by one of adopter's co-workers, and he regretted that his co-worker decided to act alone to abandone Lucky at our shelter. The adopter brought Lucky to his home and decided to nurt...

In January 2012, a dog was tied to a railing for hours with no food, no water and no human companion in sight. A concerned member of the public contacted us and we brought the dog back to the SPCA. All means to contact the dog’s owner failed and it appeared, sadly, that the dog was abandoned.

Lion was rescued by Ida on 07/01/2019 at Lorong 1 Jalan Song and is still under medication. Lion has a bite wound on the neck. Lion escaped from his caretaker on 14/01/2018. If you have seen Lion, please let his caretakers know by updating on this picture.

7 birds in 14 hours from five locations, from mynahs and pigeons, to sparrows and orioles.

Abandoned Case
Every year before Chinese New Year, everyone starts to spring clean their houses, and that including their pet dogs.
It is sad to see this dog (Lucky, as the owner written its name), was tied to our shelter's fence. Lucky looked fierce and scare, because he was placed at an unknown place by his owner. Lucky is sick, and hence the owner decided to dispose him too.
We just couldn't understand, why some owners choose to send their sick dogs away rather nursing them back to health...
