This small sanctuary in Italy was named in memory of activist Jill Phipps who died under a truck while trying to stop the export of calves to Amsterdam.
“These animals would have been slaughtered,” sanctuary founder Daniela Shehu explains. “They are here safe. Each is an individual with unique characteristics. They are not bar codes, but sentient beings.”
Harmony Fund recently made a donation to help with fence repairs and medicines for animals who are ill.

Kuala Lumpur, Shah Alam and Melaka have been selected as national finalists of the World Wide Fund for Nature’s (WWF) One Planet City Challenge (OPCC) competition out of a total 133 cities from 23 participating countries.
The biennial competition aims to recognise and reward cities for developing infrastructure, housing, transport and mobility solutions to power the global transition to a low-carbon, climate-resilient future.

Belawai Beach, located in the central region of Sarawak, is a lovely spot to view sunset.
Sadly the beach has become an eyesore due to the amount of rubbish found here. All sorts of rubbish, including plastics are washed ashore.
The beach is part of the Rajang-Belawai-Paloh delta, home to Irrawaddy dolphins - a flagship species in Sarawak.
It is sad that people throw plastic bags into our waterways! Did you know that dolphins will mistake plastic bag for a jellyfish and end up eating it?
