Tiger, Our Ahimsa-Cat
6th Jun 2015, by AnimalCare

Tiger is our most harmless and gentle cat. He’s the one with the fiercest-sounding name, but has remained the gentlest among all the cats we’ve ever had or fostered. Here’s Tiger last night, watching a little insect go about its business on the floor. It’s all too common for cats to paw on mo...

Amazing Dog Comforts Elderly At Nursing Home
6th Jun 2015, by PetFinder.my

ST. PAUL, Minn. – No one can say with certainty if dogs go to heaven. But the residents of this Minnesota care center feel confident that heaven sent a dog to them. Nala has formal training in neither pet therapy nor elevator operations, but somehow has mastered both as she makes her rounds from room to room in the four-story nurs...

HORSE DESTINED FOR "DINNER" IS RESCUED! This horse in Bosnia was just rescued from a trader taking him to the slaughterhouse. Just a week ago, the horse was a family pet, but like so many, he was eventually sold for his weight in 'meat'. But thanks to a split-second intervention, he won't be meat. Today and tomorrow and the day after, he'll simply be a horse. For a lifetime, he'll be free to graze and gallop and feel the tickle of the meadow grass against his legs. Summer isn't an easy time....

SPCA Selangor is in the community! Remember this case we posted last week? So far no adopters have come forward to give him a home. The caregiver who saved the dog left behind when his family moved is a young man, low-income earner. He feeds several cats also. We have given him a carton of dog food (4 bags), extra large cage (for shelter only), and a steel bowl. We will install a roof over the cage to provide sufficient shelter for the dog. The dog is no longer leashed, and free to go in and o...
