Riley belongs with the Blondies, because as a kitten, she followed Samantha to our house, and after the Blondies were born, she was their nanny. So, is Riley a daughter of Samantha from another father?
We will never know. But she is very well-accepted by the Blondies. Nobody bullies her. They only bully poor Juno and yet, Juno loves going into Bunny’s Place. It’s like a Stockholm Syndrome at work here – having positive feeling...

A Change Of Scenery In Ginger’s Catio

Many of our Heliconia plants were infected with some disease or eaten by insects, so we had to ask the gardener to remove the infected leaves and even whole plants.
This cleared up the Catio quite a bit, and it affected the Monsters.
I didn’t think it would have affected them so badly, because only the Heliconias were removed, the Thaumatococcus remained and these are all shorter. This was unlike last year’s cobra scare where we practically removed everything and “balded”...

Poor Scaredy Gerald

Now, Gerald is scared of Smokey.
I have not seen Smokey posturing at Gerald as Creamy does. Actually, Smokey is totally harmless, but Gerald being Gerald, now he has decided he is scared of Smokey.
So this morning, Gerald was too scared to eat his food with Smokey being present. He kept mewing at the front door after I served both of them. So while Smokey ate her food heartily, I had to bring Gerald inside, which he wanted.

We check our terrapin nests every month during the incubation period.
In the first two months, we look for any signs of fungal infection or ant infestation. Catching these early helps protect the eggs. We remove any eggs that are affected by fungi or attacked by ants.
In the final month of incubation, as we perform the nest checks, we also loosen the sand in the nest. This makes it easier for the hatchlings to reach the surface when they’re ready to emerge.

This Morning We Went Over To Wangsa Maju Respondin..

This morning we went over to Wangsa Maju responding to See Ling’s call for help to neuter 6 dogs ( 5 females and 1 male ). The dogs are quite friendly and there were some volunteers to help us to put the dogs into cages. The feeders and volunteers absolutely love them. They have been sent to our panel clinic after that.
Thanks so much for helping out to those who were involved and thanks so much See Ling for sponsoring their neutering costs.

Breakfast is quite “meriah” (festive? No, that doesn’t quite cut it!) every morning now!
Gerald has the biggest plate because I don’t think he gets food anywhere else. Creamy and Smokey are probably here only for a pre-breakfast snack. Smokey likes canned food, but only Cindy’s Original while Creamy wants nothing but his raw chicken breast meat and gizzards. Gerald gets canned food and raw chicken meat and gizzards.
