Tokyo Day 1c: Hachiko At Shibuya Station 5th Apr 2016, by AnimalCare
From the University of Tokyo, we walked back and we passed by the Hongo Sachome Station, which is the recommended stop if you were to take the trains to visit Hachiko and the Professor. But we walked all the way back to Ueno, feeling a sense of triumph that we found the correct gate (!) and the walk was certainly worth every step of it – finally, finally, finally, I got to see Hachiko and the Professor!

Tokyo Day 1b: Visiting Hachiko And The Professor 5th Apr 2016, by AnimalCare
After visiting the real Hachiko at the museum, walking around Ueno Park and the temple, our next stop was Hachiko and the Professor at the University of Tokyo. This statue was unveiled on 8th March 2015, 80 years after the passing of Hachiko and it shows an excited and happy Hachiko greeting Professor Hidesaburo Ueno after work. The statue stands right outside at the Department of Agriculture, University of Tokyo, where the professor worked.

So, after carefully planning, getting the tickets and leaving the cats in good hands under the children, off we went.
We arrived in Tokyo at almost midnight, on 1st April 2016. From Haneda airport, we took two trains to the APA H...
