An Article About Distemper Vaccination For Dogs 28th Mar 2014, by AnimalCare
Do read this article as it offers a view on the distemper vaccination and vaccination in general. This view has been increasingly gaining support these days, especially from the school of thought which advises against over-vaccination. However, our disclaimer holds and you should consult your vet and do ample research before making a decision as to what is the best protection for your animals.

FOOD FOR 600 DOGS IN ROMANIA 27th Mar 2014, by The Great Animal Rescue Chase
www.HarmonyFund.org
Today we answered a distress call for the Santuhalm shelter which is in dire need and has run out of food for 600 dogs. According to volunteer Guje Syrén, things became dire after the mass propaganda campaign and new law to collect & kill strays.
"People once donated dry food. The super market donated bread and other food. And the animal shop also donated dry food. But after the law was passed, it all came to a stop. People don´t want the dogs now."
As in most Romani...

Check out these adorable furries for adoption at PAWS Animal Welfare Society, Petaling Jaya!
These are just a tiny fraction of the superbly sweet and lovely homeless animals awaiting your love and care. To many of these unfortunate souls, just having a name and someone to give them a pat on the head is a far-fetched luxury.
If you wish to find a loyal lifetime companion, please do consider adopting one from PAWS or animal shelters near you. We assure you that you'll be spoilt for choice -- wit...

Tiger Day 21 27th Mar 2014, by AnimalCare
Today marks 3 weeks since Tiger started on his sporo treatment.
Gang of Four – drying up!
Gang of Eight – drying up!
I’ve decided to use the Lamisil very sparingly (since it’s known to be toxic), so it’s down to once in 2 days now. It’s also better not to apply anything as Tiger tends to lick it and this only makes the sores inflamed and I might mistake the inflammation as the sores getting worse! So I didn’t apply anything today, and as you can see ...

Updates On 27th Mar 2014 27th Mar 2014, by SPCA Singapore
Guinea pigs are social creatures and do better with a companion. However, they also breed fast and should be kept in same-gender pairs to avoid unwanted litters. Instead of heading for the pet shops, Samantha came to our shelter to look for a companion for her existing guinea pig. She found Pipi, and the rest is history. Read Pipi's adoption story here - http://www.spca.org.sg/services_adoption_happyendi ng.asp

KGB-Zurik Is Terrified Of Thunder 26th Mar 2014, by AnimalCare
This afternoon, there was thunder here followed by very heavy rain.
It is always a problem when there is thunder during feeding time.
For example, inside, it’s Indy and Bunny who are not afraid of thunder and they will be demanding for food. The rest, especially Tabs and Cleo would be far too afraid of eat and both will be hiding; Tabs behind the door and Cleo under the bench. So, only Indy and Bunny will be eating and the rest would have to be fed later by which time Indy and Bunny would ...

Tiger Day 20 – Still Not Out Of The Woods Yet 26th Mar 2014, by AnimalCare
It’s been a very busy day today and it was only now that I managed to get a closer look at Tiger’s sores.
Looks like we’re not out of the woods yet.
Tiger had a happy day, without me “disturbing” him too much.
He took all his medicines and I only applied the Wound Protector once in the morning. No Lamisil. Occasionally throughout the day, I would steal a peek at his sores and they looked “good” to me.
But just now, as I was giving him his third dose of...
