Yoke Mei arrived this morning with Cally, Fluffy, Ginger Mom and Siamese Mom, all in their respective carriers/cage.
Siamese Mom is the fierce one.
Heidi came over to say hello.

I’m okay, everyone. Thank you very much for asking about me!
There is no more soggy mass at all. I only sprayed Path-Away onto it and Bunny starts on a 10-day course of antibiotics (Clavomox) this morning.

Igor and Otto have been visiting regularly…for kibbles!
They actually come in the moment the PatioCats have finished their food and happily eat up the remaining kibbles in Mr Zurik’s bowl. Or maybe Mr Zurik tells deliberately leaves some behind for them since they all belong to the KGB training camp!

Following the sad and unfortunate demise of Batgirl (due to poisoning) and she is the 4th cat discovered to have been poisoned in this colony, we wish to thank our reader for her kindness in immediately offering to adopt the 4 remaining TNRM cats looked after by Yoke Mei so that they will not be at risk of succumbing to the same fate as Batgirl, Little Ms Ginny and another two neighbourhood cats (all highly suspected of being poisoned from the symptoms).

While I was at the vet’s, I took the opportunity to ask about poisoning in dogs and cats and this is what I’ve learnt. However, if there are any errors in what I write below, the mistakes are entirely mine.
I asked what might be the chances of an animal surviving the ingestion of poison. The vet says it all depends on the type of poison.

We express our deepest condolences to Yoke Mei for the loss of Batgirl.
Batgirl, may you be happy at Rainbow Bridge now.
We also wish to thank our dear friend for offering to take over all four of Yoke Mei’s community cats as Yoke Mei’s neighbourhood just isn’t safe for cats anymore. Despite Yoke Mei’s repeated appeals to her neighbours (through word of mouth and leaflets), they still lay out rat poison.
