If an animal wasn't captured cute in photographs, in action nor gifted by the act of nature, do we just cancel them off my list of what we should love and protect? "Only if we understand, can we care. Only if we care, can we help. Only if we help, can they be saved."

“I Want Attention Too!”
24th Sep 2014, by AnimalCare

With Bunny getting all the special attention and privileges, the rest want the same too…. Despite her classic calico aloofness, Cleo is a super attention seeker.  This bench is Cleo’s territory whenever I am sitting on it. If I sit on the bench, Cleo must come onto it too. It’s an unwritten rule. Rain or shine, Tabs sits on my lap whenever I am at the computer. This is Tabs’ territory. Cleo sits ON my laptop whenever it’s closed. If I’m using it, she sit...

Thank You Very Much, Mrs Lee And Agnes Cheong!
24th Sep 2014, by AnimalCare

Today, Agnes brought over a bale of cloth contributed by Mrs Lee for the backing of our patchwork blankets. We’d like to thank Mrs Lee for her thoughtful contribution and Agnes, for doing the purchasing and transporting the heavy bale over to us. It’s of a nice and versatile darker shade, which is very suitable as backing cloth. Now we have three colours for backing. The blue is finishing and does not need replenishing as we can use the beige and brown for all blankets. Thank you v...

Bunny Goes To The Vet’s
24th Sep 2014, by AnimalCare

This morning, Bunny vomited twice. He did not look too happy after breakfast; and he vomited after half an hour. Then, he asked for food again, and vomited again. It was only after one hour that he felt well enough to ask for more food. He managed to retain his third and fourth meals for the morning. This has gone on for too long already. It started as sporadic vomiting and it was under control. I thought it was just eating too fast or too much, or an intolerance to wet food, but in the last thr...

Love is Ageless, and ensuring your Senior Pet's health is essential! As the person who knows your pet better than anyone else, you’re the best advocate for his/her health. It’s important to share any changes you’ve noticed, for that matter, with your veterinarian. The vet will then thoroughly check for any behavioural, social or physical changes, then recommend a course of preventive care where apt. Do be on the alert for the subtle signs so you can act on these by taking these up with...

"Because no amount of testing will do, if you never saw how beautiful you already are." These animals used in tests for us, if they were allowed to be around us to fill our days with their kind if love, which asks for no returns instead of in a test laboratory. I know... beauty would never be a lack in our lives - you are beautiful. #notoanimaltesting
