Lady For Adoption

Lady have since been with us for the past 6 months and didnt get any chance to find an adopter. So beautiful, but surprisingly, she didnt get many callers. This time, we hope she can find a home with the help of everyone to share her details.

Gemmy Boy For Adoption

Little baby like a gem was found at a dumpster along the klang shoplots (where toto, magnum is located), loads of passerbys but not one stopped to save the poor puppies. Gemmy boy was rescued along with his sibling which was left for dead when they were 1 day old. Since then, my friend fed him Milk-o-dog dog replacement milk and he grew into a beautiful puppy.

This week, we will share with you guys about Marcos and Carlos, our Cuban sliders (Trachemys decussata). They are closely related to Red-ear sliders whom we discussed about 2 weeks ago. Cuban sliders are native to Cuba and have been introduced to many places in the region. They are also traded in the illegal wildlife trade. Interestingly, Red-ear sliders (Trachemys scripta) are believed to be interbreeding with Cuban sliders.

I’d never seen a tupai before when I was growing up in Kampar and Kuala Kangsar during my childhood. We had all kinds of pets, ranging from dogs, rabbits, ducklings, chickens to geese, and sometimes, cows and goats wandered into our house compound (there was no fences back then) and our dogs would have a field day playing with the cows.

Just about a year ago (in September 2013), a litter of ten puppies lost their mother as she was hit - and killed instantly - by a truck. SPCA was alerted to the 10 puppies that were left to fend for themselves, and took all 10 in. We turned to our fosterers in whose care the babies grew up well. All 10 babies were then adopted by different families and have been well brought up - and proof of the pudding is in the eating (pardon the pun!) of the birthday cake! :)
