Earlier this year, we picked up a kitten that was sealed in a box from a construction site. Frightened, the little guy darted off with lightning speed once we opened the box in our shelter; he was so fast that we didn't even catch a glimpse of him and how he looked like. He left behind a front paw in the box, already severed when he was first found by a member of the public.

Gutsy Princess, A 17 Year-Old Dog With No More Kidney Activity

Princess is Connie’s 17 year-old dog. During Chinese New Year, Princess lost her appetite and started vomiting food and water. Connie brought Princess in to the vet’s and Princess was diagnosed as having kidney failure. Being 17 years old, that wasn’t totally surprising as this comes with age.

Spaying Subsidy For Belle, Female Dog (Jaclyn Lim Chooi Li’s)

We have subsidised RM150 for the spaying of Belle. According to Jaclyn, Belle was captured by the dogcatchers while being pregnant and Jaclyn had to get her back. That was in November 2013. Belle subsequently delivered 8 puppies and all have been rehomed by Jaclyn.

Kudos to the students from ISKL for raising RM1,750 within 3 weeks! The funds will be used for MissionHELP projects to help in sterilization of stray animals. The students were also awarded The Kind Kids Award certificate for their generous effort to help the animals.
