Oh No! Indy Is The New Spray-King!

Ever since I started using EM to clean up the spray spots, you won’t believe this, but Cow’s spraying has drastically reduced. This is indeed the first thing that has ever made a difference to Cow’s marking sprees.
And so, I was REALLY happy and jumping for joy until….

Starry’s Once-A-Day Visits

Starry comes back for food, but only once a day. And this also depends on whether Mr G is around. Mr G doesn’t like Starry. And one of the Patio-4 also does not like Starry….it’s Rosie. Yes, sweet Rosie does not like Starry.
Rosie and Daffodil are very much at home nowadays.
Ginger prefers the patio.
Timmy is still busy marking his scent all over the furniture.

A Shelter Manager Speaks

Today, I received an email from a reader who had heard that one of our local shelters, PAWS, puts animals down and people have seen bodies being carted out from the shelter. I wrote to the manager to seek clarification and his reply is reproduced (with permission) below:

This March, join 11 other passionate wildlife protectors in volunteering at the ACRES Lao Wildlife Sanctuary!
The ACRES Lao Wildlife Sanctuary, a project in collaboration with the Love Wildlife Foundation, provides sanctuary to animals rescued from the illegal wildlife trade.
The animals at the sanctuary include mammals such as bears, gibbons, macaques and otters, and also many species of reptiles and birds.
The date of the trip will be 15th to 24th March 2013.

*Showering with a newly rescued puppy so the steam will ease his kennel cough.
* Coordinating with volunteers in Greece, Turkey, Serbia and Bosnia to get food to hungry strays
* Investigating an opportunity to fund the rescue of a captive chimpanzee in Lebanon
* Initiating a partnership to rescue donkeys from "live auctions"
* And prepping our cat colonies for the coming blizzard. Yes, Saturday will be spent digging them out from 2 feet of snow.

Northport Dogs – Another Two Spayed (Low Hong Hang’s)

Mr Low brought another mother-and-daughter pair of dogs to be spayed last week. Both have recovered completely and were released two days ago. We are helping Mr Low with dogfood and the neutering of all the dogs on this piece of land at the construction site. All of these dogs have been dumped there.
